Photo Exhibition Queer Havens
Spanning more than 40 photographs, the exhibition Queer Havens by World Press Photo Foundation, co-curated with Pride Photo, depict a wide range of queer experiences—from chosen families, intimate relationships, and nightlife, to reclaiming queer history, personal transitions, and acts of remembrance—revealing how queer communities imagine and create safe spaces.
We created the outdoor and indoor structures. Simple yet meaningful in contrast; hard metal, flowy fabric, transparent, hidden, safe corners, colorful, proud.
For the design, we wanted to surround the photo projects with rich textures. We made our own coloured fabrics from hair, pearl necklaces, iron wire and net curtains. We also created custom fonts that play and interfere with the grid of the letter.
We have extracted compelling quotes from the photographers' project texts. This is also to capture the attention of casual walkers in the park.
